Q:

Wika pressure gauge for the crickets on Ebay

I saw this yesterday and decided to buy one. After all my cricket has the imo worthless color coded one.

Dont get me wrong, the color one is actually smart if your gun is tuned to fit it. But if not, then the colors wont match up with your results thus making it worthless

WIKA , maybe but hopefully not a Chinese knock-off.

They’re the same gauge found on the/my Mutant.

WIKA = German quality , those Alibaba’s = Chinese knock-off .

LOL, When checking my gauge I look to the side, All guns are loaded, I do not care how unloaded they are,,,

This one is from chineese seller but it says place of origin germany, what am I too make of that?

I make sure it is unloaded before checking and either way, you dont need to aim at your head to see the numbers.

As for the seemingly chineese knock offs or whatever that was I dont know if I would trust 250 bar with it, this one seems legit, high quality but if you buy from “alibaba” then please make a thread or post here and let us know what you think about it.

Whatever floats your boat :fishinghole:

Btw, do others get nervous having to look down the barrel of their Cricket, Edgun, Vulcan and the likes just to check their gauges? I like the fill probe concept instead of using a foster fitting but like the placement of the gauge away from the end of the barrel like in the marauder. Maybe just placed forward of the trigger and countersunk into the stock. Is the marauder gauge concept more prone to leaks therefore not the preferred method? I know it take some volume in the airtube but placed near the center, it would act as a depinger as well.

Are these Wika guages normally manufactured in Germany? If so, are these below knockoffs?

The new gauges looks pretty nice but why the hell are they so expensive to begin with?

Yes I think so also, but it might be because they’re hard to come by.
Even straight from the factory I think you need to buy 1000 units at a time, not sure ?

If you know of a cheaper source it’ll be cool to post and appreciated …………..

Wow that was fast !

Thanks for the post, also don’t drop the socket the wing(s) can easily break off if you do …….

Done! :biggrinn: I managed to make the tool and the gauge is looking prettey neat. There is about 10 bar difference between my fx pump and cricket, however I don’t know it it is the pressure difference or something else. After all the pump needs to have a higher pressure in order to transfer the air into the gun. Pics below.

Thank you GKU! I agree with the socket, I tried just a quick touch on the grinder with a higher quality socket and it made quite a mark so I dont doubt I’ll be able to make the tool out of this cheapo socket I bought.

😆 I bought the last one darn I needed 2 but, seller said he won’t have more of them until maybe early next year ?

good luck making the removal tool, the socket are not as hard as some think, it’s not hard to make …….. just be safe !
