Q:

WildCat Fill Pressures

Newbie, here.

FX WC question.

I fill off three x 3500 PSI scuba tanks, and am wondering how that would work with an FX WC, as best you can guess.

I am hearing the WC fills and operates between about 250 PSI to maybe 140.

I currently shoot my AA S500 from 3k to 100 Bar, which I have not coverted to PSI.

Do you think I would have a disappointment with a WC shooting from my fill supply, since it is meant to operate at or about my highest tank pressure, and maybe I’ll get one fill of 3400 PSI, the rest downhill.

Appreciate some thoughts on that. Otherwise the JKhan Krosa in .22, that fills to 2900PSI might look attractive.

Purpose: Squirrel killer at distance – 40-70 or more yards.

Thanks, Rob

Touché ! Although the mighty Saab has gone to its grave since no one wanted it – not even those wiley Chinese …

Back to the original question, Boys..
If i had a WC i´d fill the airtube untill it becomes double its original size. Then i´d poke it with a hot needle. 😯

Now now Ville, you know that FX makes quality parts and quality designs. Parts don’t fall off and guns work 100% flawlesly. You would need to hit that needle with a hammer to make the tube burst, after all it’s Swedish quality like IKEA, Saab and Ericsson. Far from those chinese things like Volvo.

No! I think Tedro did

Hey Rob, I can see your concern but I think it’s unfounded. I have several guns that list fill pressures from 220 to 300 bar. What I have found is the gun becomes very inefficient at the higher fill pressures. In other words the guns waste air. From the EDgun, Cricket, Vulcan to the Taipan and everything in between filling much over 200 BAR seems to just burn air in your tank without producing many more shots. What you should do is just fill the guns to 200 BAR, even the FX.

I think your guns don’t have a regulator;
My Cricket will fill at 300bar, and give me more shoots with some speed as 120bar which the regulator’s value.

JackZ Leadbetter put you up to that post right ?

This sounds like some solid advice.
