Will this tank work ?
I dont have a clue what the numbers on the label means except the 4500psi rating, can you tell if its carbon fiber? if it is I think its out of date. what size is it? thanks!

Joe Brancato is the only person I know that may have a spare valve or info on these SCBA tanks. He sells used ones on a regular basis.
An interesting an potentially useful idea. I looked into this at one point, but was unable to find a source of new tanks without valves. I asked at the shop that hydro’d my tank, they didn’t know either (although they knew about steel and aluminum tanks).
Does anyone have any information on how you might do this?

If you could get it for 20$, you could pull the valve and install it on a new tank.

That is a “30 minute” scba tank. Would be perfect for filling the gun tank from, presuming you have a buddy at the fire dept/dive shop to fill it for you or your own comrpessor. Being “out of date” means that it cannot be hydro tested and certified for filling at normal “public” fill stations. Reguardless of condition, fiber wrapped tanks have a 15yr service life after which they are supposed to be disabled and disposed of. A great buy if you have a way to get it filled.
I think thoses tanks are only good for 15 years. I believe its life has expired.
I may be wrong, but from my research any high pressure tank made of fiberglass or carbon has a maximum life of 15 years. A ’93 born on date would make it out of spec and no one will touch it.

I have my tank and hose coming from Mr. Joe. He is a very nice person to deal with and knows his HPA stuff. Got a tank that is only 3 years old so its got 12 years left. 88cuft tank and hose setup w/ 1/4 BSP quick disconnect adapter shipped for $525 and by the airhog fill chart, this thing should fill my rifle forever before I need a refill. I will not mess with a large heavy scuba tank ever again..lol
