I have been using Landscaping flag wires and placing them every 25 yards or so to the target and a few beyond.
You probably will be able to find it at your local Lowes or Home Depot for $10 for a bundle of 100 ct.
There cheap and I don’t feel bad to leaving them there at the end of the shooting day.
I have them in Orange for a field of green and in Light Blue for in a brown forest.
