windy shoot, results

OK Dude, here’s the conditions and results in these conditions (pretty damn awesome for an AR).
Wind from NW @ 10-15 mph! I was on the SE side of a hay loft type deal with some trees also kinda shading me. I put various wind tassels up so when they dropped the stillest I’d shoot. Temp was about a cold 38 deg. with clear skies.
Now the good stuff! High setting (power dial) that I used on my gun was 11.5 & the low was 6. The two scope power settings I used were X6 and X9 with the majority of shots @ 40 yards and several @ 20 yards.
I used two pellet kinds as well as grain difference and also a PILEDRIVER air gun bullet. First was the Beeman Kodiak ex-heavy 21.1 grain, then the Eunjin 28 grain and, the PILEDRIVER 30grain. Using an 18” barrel, remember the wind.
I had to allow for quite an arch with the Beeman’s because I think the wind really affected them; Even on a power setting of 11.5 @ 40 yards. They still went in a consistent 3” radius (hmmm, not happy).
I’ve always REALY LIKED the Eunjin 28 gr. For all good I can think of. They went straight and level.
Now the 30 grains. As expected I had to rise up, 1.25 mil, and they went really good also.

Question though about the PILEDRIVER. 5.52mm that I’m putting into my .22 cal. Air Force barrel. Why is it SUCH a SNUG\TIGHT fit? I’m thinking that there has to be A LOT of drag in the barrel alone even before it’s set free to fly! There is a .22 cal Pile driver that is even more mm’s in diameter and I’m not even using those?
All in all, I’ll be putting 28 grain at the top of my list, and of course am very happy with the gun.
P.S. At 40 yards I was shooting at 1\2” plywood. A tack room that measures 8’x 8’. All projectiles (even on 6 power gun setting) blew right threw. On 11.5 power they disappeared into the opposite side wall.
