Wokbut on A.F. commercial?
I was watching American Airgunner the other night and Im 90% sure I saw a wokbut on one of the commercials. It was the one where the Bubba with the buck teeth was shooting soda cans full of soda.
They also had a cute girl on helping host the show. Check it out, she is a lot easier to look at than Tom Gaylord 😀

I must confess that I throughly enjoy the avatars. And I am not in the least suggesting that we “clean-up” the site. I perceive a difference in general, non-specific vulgarity vs. that which might be directed at an actual person. That shows how twisted I am that I can make that distinction. 😈

Anyone who doesn’t acknowledge the efforts of the NRA is seriously deluded. If it weren’t for the NRA, we would have lost our gun rights long ago. Is our government afraid of us? Maybe, probably…I hope not. The Japanese were afraid of us and didn’t want to try an invasion for just that reason. The English tried it back in the late 1700″s and again in 1812. The Viet Namese and the Afgan’s proved again that a determined, armed indigous population can defeat a superior force. I’m sure that you guys get the point.

Seriously Walter, and all of my Canadian neighbors, I’m sorry and I apologize if I got my facts wrong. I have worked with Canadian people who have lamented the demise of their gun rights and who have warned that we should guard our second ammendment with a jealous eye, (I apologize to my Australian friends too if I have misinterpreted the news that has made it here regarding the confiscation of your private arms).
I am quite certain that my friends of Great Brittan have had their gun rights, and right to basic self defense in their own homes, severly abused by their government. I also remember a piece of history when the UK was terrified that Hitler would invade their island. They appealed to my grandfather and all Americans to send any rifle, pistol, or shotgun to the UK to be employed by the home guard. After the war was over, most of these guns were rounded up and dumped in the Atlantic ocean. That’s a fine thing…not! Not cool at all; a real slap in the face. Our cherished arms should have been returned, not dumped like that.

I guess i’m just a stickler for talent being the talent and not having to wear skimpy clothes to get publicity and to get people to think your way, way better than you really are… She isn’t that good of a driver and not a good model at all…
If any of the other top ten or fifteen drivers had the car she had they would have won more than one race… How many ties did she miss her pits, how many times did she drive in to another person? This season is going to be hilarious, newbies in NASCAR get punted…
A world class driver would be defined in my book as Nigel Mansell, Pablo Montoya, not that I really like either of them but they have won races in European and American auto racing series… Maybe with some arguing we will let the likes of Shuie, Senna or Prost into the group…
She has won one race in the American racing series… She came is 170 points behind the third place driver for 2009. And yes, the guys behind her sucked too… I will predict in the future there will be women drivers who win lots more races and even championships (which is difficult for any driver in general).

We’re happy to say that we’ll be featuring more than a few women shooters on our show, and as Crystal’s airgun skills improve, hope to have her compete if thatis her wish. In fact, episode one of season two has a feature on Karen Awad, Empire State Air Pistol gold medal champ, now director of the Venturing Crew 2700 Air Rifle club. Karen was both inspiring to me personally, and very excited to help promote her sport.
We will be introducing women hunters to airguns as a way to help promote and foster understanding about the sport, in hopes we can get moms out with their kids and be active and healthy. Airguns are a natural first step for those not informed. If we help in some small way to remove the stigma of guns, our society will be a better place.
What does not help promote and protect our sport has no place on our show–We are also in the business of making airguns interesting and entertaining enough to make the viewers want to try it out safely for themselves. America needs to get off the couch and away from the TV, video games and internet, and go plink cans in the backyard once in a while.

I’m not all that fond of calling people whores here…unless the whore happens to be one of the representatives from the various “people’s republics” we are growing…
I also am not fond of downplaying the role of the NRA in protecting our second amendment rights. The NRA is nothing more than a like minded collection of Americans expressing their opinions and demanding their rights not be infringed. Unlike other collections of like minded American, say, Greenpeace, the NRA has not demanded or asked that other’s rights be infringed to advance a cause. While not a perfect organization (none are) they (we) have done a pretty good job.

The pretty girl will attract men as you point out but her example shooting and accomplishments are also likely to have a positive impact on lady’s that tune in or happen to watch as a result of the men in the house tuning in. The motive of the TV producer does not induce a stain on the young lady or reduce the positive impact she may create, even if the producers don’t give a hoot about that. I expect she sees herself as a bit more than eye candy and while the producers (or ad guys) might not, I’ll be happy to give her and anyone else the benefit of the doubt.

As far as “We’d have lost our guns long ago if it wasn’t for the NRA” I disagree, I think what has kept us from losing our guns is two fold. One, the people in Washington not being sure the military would shoot their own. Two, the fear that the average joe would fight back.
