Wondering about twist rates
I was looking to build my condor in to one of theses heavy hitters like a 308, 9mm some thing like that I was just wondering if some one can help me out on a good twist rate for a given calaber . hope this is the place to post this. Sorry for spelling I know I messed up some ware. Tanks every one

i find with 9mm it doesnt matter much , i mostly go with a 1-20 or 1-18 .
i assume your barrel will be tighter then that anyway , 1-16

You’ll be needing a Twist Rate that works with cast lead bullets. Someone else will know more n I do about that. Jacketed bullets don’t work with air. Some one did build a 308 condor using Sabot bullets, need to do a search to find that post. Same sabot Remington uses with their 30-06 Accelerator Cartridge. Reloading press and 2 die, one to flair and one to seat. This setup would use a .224 jacketed bullet in a 308 sabot. I wanted to try this with my .22 condor using sabots, but they are not available for .22. that I could find.
Something to think about anyway. Seems to me would be easier and safer than casting lead bullets. But the Cast lead bullets work as advertised and the sabots could be a waste of materials and resources.
