Q:

Work in Progress

I have been building a new addition for the shop. This is a 2×72 belt grinder. I will be running it with a 1.5 hp motor and step pulley’s. I have 2″ and 4″ rubber contact wheels with an 8″ platen.

I can rotate the the wheels to grind on either one or slack belt grind as well.

Hey Adam just had a thought now Saw can’t say anything bad aobut this sander MADE IN THE USA!!!! looks nice, you did a good job on that one! should be really handy and fast! but I am not fast! just a little handy!

The WOK Sander?? :thumb: :thumb:

Nice… very nice!

That looks great Adam. I think I prefer the pulleys to an electronic speed controller.

That is pretty neat WOK.

Is that tensioning spring heavy enough? I have an old Selph hammer spring that might be better. 😆

I want one!

And what mods will this be used for ?

This belt sander will do everything from hogging off aluminim and steel to putting a satin finish on metal and sharpening.

I will be making some knives in the near future.

And what mods will this be used for ?

Nice!!!

😀 😀

Very expensive wheels, thats what 🙂

The drive wheel is crowned and the top wheel is called a “Tracking wheel” it too has a crown and is adjustable to line up the belt perfectly on all three wheels

very nice… just curious, with the number of belt wheels, what keeps the belt from going off to one side ?
