Would I be a fool to sell MY EDgun and
Get an FX Idependence? Just a thought I’ve been having.
Indy is heavy and much longer, never need a tank, multi-shot.
EDgun is light and short, I have two tanks which makes it easy to refill, gets so many shots per fill you almost forget its time to refill, is single shot.

Ok maybe I’ll keep it for now.
Having puchased my EDgun just a couple months ago, I recently finished some heavy research on several “$1500” guns. The Royale, the Independence, and many used Theobens and Daystates. The Indy was at the bottom of my list.
My reasons against:
Five shots at a time.
Many pieces to break.
Unproven (at the time).
Even a fill from a tank still only yields 5 shots.
Heavy and long (I’m 150 lbs)
My reasons for:
FX makes pretty good “out of box” guns
Portability
I think of the Indy as a “springer replacement”. It has all the portability perks of a spinger without the recoil. Unless I start traveling to remote areas of the world, I will likely never own an Independence.
If you need one more reason, consider the fact that if you have a problem with the gun, you can not get a response from the OWNER OF THE COMPANY like you can with an EDgun. 😎
Of the 4 people I know who have got them, one has already sold his.
All that pumping got old quick. I was thinking about getting one, then I
started thinking about all the pumping right in the middle of shooting
and decided I would rather have a gun with a good shot count. As you
said the length and weight are big issues too.

I think it’s a no brainer, keep the Edgun! Does the Indy have the same power level?
The Indy requires 3 pumps per shot, with a grand total of 7 shots per full tank. Free floating barrel and side lever. How do your hold er for leverage to crank that pump handle.
Given the bad track record for pumps in general, you’re taken chance there?
Can you fill the Indy with a scuba/carbon fiber tank, If so seven shots between refill/pumping that lever?
Indy looks front heavy to me. Best fondle one before making a bad decision.
MY VOTE is for “keep the Edgun”

I bought a FX Royale 400 about 4 months ago. The Matador is more accurate and, to me, an all around better gun. The Royale gets more shots per fill but, uses more air doing it.
The Indy uses the same smooth twist barrel.
