would you buy a gun from someone that’s been to jail?

I have beef with a admin named SNIPER that runs the CAF forum (canadian airgun forum) and i feel that it’s time to expose him.
I’m an air gun enthusiast and want to see air gun communities grow bigger in Canada. Unlike the US we don’t get all the fun stuff, and our governments are always trying to ban firearms etc. Take the h1n1 flu crap for example, most people live in fear and aren’t educated enough to make wise decisions.

Overall I think he is just making our sport look bad. The biggest canadian airgun site is controlled by an oligarchy. if we want this sport to grow we must collectively support each other and gain more members, not ban people, remove posts about the truth of his mistakes and do shady business on the side.

Well… Like WalkonKing said, it really depends on what for. In the end I would decide what sort of person they are now, not what type of person they were then. So, my answer is yes.
As you describe him and his activities my first thought is he is doing a great service for fellow airgunners. I also understand your desire to cleanup your air gun community but it appears that your views are not shared by all airgunners in your community (based on the fact he has a market). Before you flame me, I understand you cause and it is a noble one.
I wish we,”you, me, and everyone” had the tenacity to educate and change our governments stand on air guns (all guns). Instead of directing your (our) efforts against each other. maybe your efforts would be better directed to change your laws on air guns. I know it would be like pounding your head against a rock but, someone has to do it. 😀
I know it is a pie-in-the-sky thought but, it sure would be nice to repeal some of these laws. 🙁

If its something he’s said to you on the internet or something about how he runs his forum that you have a problem with then you need to back it the hell down.
If however he ripped you off on a deal, stole one of the following – your money, your dog or your girl then it MIGHT be a different matter.
I dont care if someone has commited some non violent non sexual based crime in the past so long as he doesnt rip people off when it comes to making a purchase. I’ve probably bought things from a criminal and I know a few member’s here have criminal records and it doesn’t particularly bother me and it wouldn’t stop me doing a deal with them.
I’d leave talk about going to the police to myself….. or at least keep it private.

pay him a visit and give him two choices
1. he lets you kick his ass
2. you go to the police with proof – you dont really want to do that coz it will only kick us all in the ass in the long term.
failing that just give him a damn good beating, normally fixes feelings 😆

Arnold is being liened for tax evasion to the tune of 80k and he is the governor of California…
If the cops up there are anything like the ones down here they will do nothing unless you have solid proof of this guy doing something wrong…
For you solid proof would mean breaking the law so you would be in just as much trouble as he would…
In Canada we have a law that air guns shooting over 500fps require a license. In this Sniper admin’s case…he sells detuned air guns that never get registered then he tunes them up to full power on the side.

Was he in jail for a multi level marketing scam or for killing somebody?
