Q:

WOW!!::Cricket Arrived::WOW!!

What can I say, I AM IMPRESSED!!!!

Received a standard Cricket 177 in the synthetic stock with two extra mags (4 total) today. Looks great, feels really, really good. It’s very, very quiet. Heavy, but I like that. Oddly enough it feels more solid than my Matador. 😐

The magazine install takes a bit getting used to. It’s my first lever action and it’s not bad at all compared to the ones i’ve tried. The magazine thing wasn’t as tough to work or easy to flip into the wrong slot as I expected.

Got all the mags loaded with some JSB pellets and looking forward to running it over the chrony tonight. I’ll take some photos too.

Will be at the range on Sunday to try it out at distance and verify my click charts.

Ordered some rail sections today from Ohio and will be installing 4″ in front of the forward stock screw. Going to tear off the butt pad and make a thigh rest adapter, i’ll probably have to come up with a new way to attach the original butt pad to the adapter, or I may just buy a really nice butt and hook for the adapter.

Working on turning this into a viable field target rifle for future competitions and possibly a national championship run. :8:

Filled her up to 4000 psi and went for a chrony run.

Seven mags total for 98 shots.

Started at the edge of the yellow line and at shot #90 it was at the edge of the blue line, the last eight shots show a decent decrease in velocity.

Also ran a bunch of shots in the EdGun, velocity was a little high (890-930) but it went 150+ shots.

The Cricket is more consistent right now but i’m getting less shots on a fill compared to the EdGun which runs from 3000psi to 1400psi for it’s 150 shots.

The Cricket’s velocity was set by the retailer and I didn’t do anything to the setting. I did however mess around with the trigger and the first stage action. I like little to no first stage take up. Couldn’t figure out what was going on at first and then found the micro screw at the trigger had come out, a little paint later it isn’t going to back out again.

I really like the rifle, it’s different than the EdGun and just as sexy in it’s own right. The synthetic stock is very well made.

Sunday is range day, I hope it is as accurate as it is consistent!

I wait for the up date!

CONGRATULATIONS,,,,,,,,,

Send some photos,,,,, and make a review before touching factory settings and after….. how ever i prefer Edguns 100 times than Cricket, but i like collect info about all PCP rifles..

Thanks..

Congrats Syn! How do you feel about the fore grip?
