WTF are they teaching in our Schools
My Grand children just told me that they are learning about alternative life styles, and about Trans genders, isn’t it enough that everyone is bombarded with this crap on the Boob tube, Do the kids have to learn this in school. I mean shouldn’t the school be teaching things like how to read and to understand what you are reading, or some other important things, like Math, which seems to work its way into just about everything that is worth doing especially if they want to actually do something with their lives. Nah, who wants be a doctor, or a Chemist or any other kind of professional. Just join a union and flip burgers for twenty bucks an hour, and if that is not enough just apply for some federal spare change, let us not forget all the free shit that they are going to give away.

I’m glad to see that we are in full agreement on all of the above. That point of view is a step closer to a perfect world. I totally agree that people are often attacked in some way for expressing a high set of morals. Again it’s one of those “I’m ok with what you do as long as you don’t preach that religious morality holier than thou crap to my kids” type of thing. It seems no-one has a problem with anything, “as long as you hide it”. It’s a “live your live to conform to a middle of the road and hide your tracks when you veer off” kind of society. Not sure if that is wrong or right but it does seem to foster the dark secrets mentality that plague us on a daily basis. No wonder so many of our leaders get caught in scandals of secrets, we passively teach it’s ok to be what you want “In Secret”! When we stop hiding from the facts of life and real world nuances and just accept they exist and do our own thing harmony will soon follow. BTW I’m not preaching to you, you’re in the choir…lol
Interesting thread indeed!
Our Grand Children have been taught by us, that it is ok to disagree with someone or something, but not to hate anyone or anything nor to discriminate against others that they disagree with for whatever reason. They have also been taught that resorting to violence is only ok when they are physically attacked. And that is something that I hope never happens. I have also noticed that there are some individuals that want others to be tolerant of their position, but when some one disagrees with them they resort to name calling and threats or worse yet physical violence. While I know that we do not live in a perfect world, we can make things a lot easier on each other by being respectful and not trying to force others to accept things that they do not agree with.
this turned ut to be a very interesting thread 🙂
Anyways, I think the whole “parents should teach” is bullshit. Too much ignorance out there :2cents:
Point well taken. Since there are so many opinions on a ranging scale, it does seem best that it not be incorporated into our public schools. That way each parent can raise their children in their own way. The issue with this is just as Cricket points out. Due to so much ignorance, with respect to tolerance of differences, many children are taught hate and persecution of much that is different from our own beliefs, hence hate crimes based on race, gender, sexual orientation , social status and so on and so on. I have yet to read a religion that practices hate and violence against those, outside of our family to which we a responsible for, we simply have a disagreeing with about beliefs, issues, or preference (never read any Satanic/Luciferian teachings). Each of the religions I’ve read from require some type of act of violence to suggest such (I haven’t studied intensely on practically any of them and could most likely be missing something in the fine details). That being said I feel what the schools are trying to do is bridge the gap between the differences by removing the judgemental and sometimes hateful tone associated with educating a young person about something we personally disagree with (regardless of how justified we fee we are in that belief).
There has to be some method to foster tolerances for difference and since these differences meet up in public schools and can’t be avoided, it appears a somewhat appropriate venue. Truly one can appreciate the opportunity afforded to really get to explore how our children think. Think about it, when you ask your kids out of the sky blue what they think about any given subject, does it seem somewhat awkward or is is rarely ever fruitful with a truthful “non-doctored for the parents” reply. With teens, normally not. However with the subject and dialog started in school it opens the door for you child to really express themselves, which is normally done by our children using the thoughts and words “their fiends and the kids at school” were saying. All the while we as parents are reading the tone of (dis)approval of the point of view, pandering for our thoughts or simply trying to subtly make their own view known. That opportunity for dialog was not as available to the OP prior to their Grandkids sharing what was happening at school. Because it is truly naive to believe that there will ever be a time when we all have the same likes, beliefs and preferences here on earth. Since walking in unison is highly improbable we may as well walk in harmony. Harmony is very beautiful in anything it occurs in but not so much the case with unison (screeching and scratching in unison is just noise, but done at different tones and in harmony it can become beautiful music). However harmony takes not only differences but the knowledge of the differences by each synchronized group in order that they be able to blend and harmonize without clashing.
The way it has been in the past has been almost all clash and very little harmony. Could it be because we never knew enough about the synchronized groups to ever bring our own group into harmony with those we share this earth with? In closing you both are right, so how do we now harmonize?

Well it has been said that what drove the Romans crazy was all the lead that they used for plates, drinking cups and for pipes to pump the water into their homes. Your mom might be on to something with the plastics. Whatever the case the subjects of alternative life styles and trans gender should not be taught in our schools, this is something that when the kids are old enough to start asking questions about that the parents should educate them on. As we all can see everyone seems to have a different opinion on the topic. Whether you are a religious person or an atheist or possibly an agnostic will determine what your outlook will be on this subject. And after all they are your children not the states.
Thanks! They have always said, “Never argue with momma”!
It is the religious homophobes sucking dick in the park restrooms you cant trust :butkick:
Totally understandable. My question to them is if God who is all powerful doesn’t “MAKE” them change and respects the individuals right of choice why can’t they do the same as His followers. There is some passage(s) that says (or means) that things that may look wrong/right to man may not actually be as it appears, therefore it is best to let God be the sole judge (and until then “Love thy neighbor”) because he knows the heart behind the actions. Yes, I am the son of an Evangelist but have been taught about the dangers of “Religion”.
WOK glad to know that you know how to “Love Your Neighbor” because that is what carries the most weight in the existence and the next! I knew I liked you for a GOOD reason! :thumb:
I know em all and I am cool with them all.

Nice and interesting post Dporter. My mom says “it is all the plastic”

We better not only get used to it but invite it! By the time humans have completed the mutations kick-started by the hormones, steroids and who knows what else they lace our foods with, we will need someone to explain to our kids, grandkids and us just what WTF any of us are!
Myself, I have just learned to accept it due to one reason. I have a very good friend during Jr. High who’s brother, not even 2 yrs. at the time, was gay. This was very obvious to anyone with eyes and because of it my friend and his sisters were very hard on him and verbal about the fact he needed to “Act like a boy”. As I watched this 1.5 year old grow through the years and saw his life influences, it was clear “to me” his sexual orientation began previous to his 1.5 year age that I met him and that all indicators suggest nothing to influence anything but “straight” behavior. Yet he has “Always” acted like a girl, prior to me meeting him according to his mother. That fact made me think about a very close cousin that ALWAYS acted “Tom boyish” and go figure she’s gay.
That fact upward of 8% of Rams are purely homosexual (without the food doping) suggest to me a phenomenon in nature. Maybe a genetic defect of sorts. Notice that many lesbians have very similar body shapes (somewhat boxy). Also, studies suggest we develop our sexual orientation prior to the age of 3 years old (which I witnessed). Based on all of this, despite my discomfort, I have started to open the dialog with my 6,8 and 10 years old kids about transgender lifestyles from the point of view of what they are observing around us. I’m always uncomfortable (although I put on a cool front) but stay open minded in conversation.
Although I truly feel many transgender people may “Choose” their lifestyle for what ever reasons, I also feel that there are a significant number who are simply “Born” that way. The lifestyle is very alienating and causes depression in many people in the very early years of life and has only recently become more socially tolerable for adults. For that reason, I don’t fathom that being something a child would “Choose” and rather reserve the “choosing” for “SOME” of the late converters. However, I still find it funny and shameful how some schools find ability to add Transgender Education but many schools can’t find the resources to continue teaching cursive handwriting 🙄 .
That’s my :2cents: , spend it wisely!
My daughter came home talking about that crap as well. She was learning about it in psychology. There are 5 gender bender types now. They all sound the same to me, dysfunctional.
Agreed they could spend a hell of alot more time on things like english. My oldest printed off an assignment for her friend. They are in college so i assumed it would be funny to read it like a retard then as i could barely read it because the grammer and spelling was afu i looked at my daughter and asked if she was really turning that crap in? She said yes then ran downstares and grabbed her paper for me to look over. Was better but not by much. Worst part was her friend suggested several changes that were insanely wrong.
Drives me nuts. Who care if you can spot a pro noun. You better be able to spot a tranny first! That sounds like some back ally thiland advice right there. Maybe the schools are on to something after all.
