Q:

Ya gotta love the…

…accuracy of these rifles. When they’re tuned, they can really drive tacks.

I – admittedly – had my best outing with the condor. Here are the results:

  • Rifle: Condor
    Caliber: .22
    Distance: 30 yds
    Position: Prone w/ bipod
    Scope: 4-16×50 (set on 10x)
    Pellet: 16 grn Predator Polymags
    Power Setting: Low
    Valve: Talon

Full Target

1st 5-shot grouping:

And since a few of you might question it if I couldn’t repeat the feet, here are my 2nd & 3rd 5-shot groups:

And the pellets:

😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Also, a HUGE thx out to those who divined the ‘silent pellet trap’! I built
one this afternoon and it works phenomenally well. Note: I used sculpter’s
clay ($8.99 for a 25 lb block) as I couldn’t track down electrician’s putty.
My initial review is the the clay works great – and if I’ve got to swap in new
clay in several months, who cares?! It’s all of $8.99 to completely refill it!
😀

Adam: Sweet boo rods!!! 😯 😀

You and me, we gotta find some reason to spend time on the water…

Sweet! I love a nice fly rod!!! 😀

When I am not making airgun parts I make these.

With This….

Adam! You’re a fly fishman? If you’re ever up this way, I’m EASILY talked into
set’n the boat adrift… (When I finally get a hall pass, that is 😥 )

I know, some may poopah mounting a 4 horse on a drift boat, but on big, flat
expanses of water (like you run into on some NorCal rivers)… 😉

Now… If I could mesh the two sports and, say, shoot turkey with the condor
from the boat while fishing for steelhead. 😀 😀 😀

verdecktjaeger that pic is cool. Congratulations 😀

Congrats on the kid.

Now for the important stuff. You are a fly fisherman? That shit is in my blood.

My third, a son!

And, no doubt, another future hunting/fly fishing partner. 😀

does anyone know when the next airforce gun will be built?

Congratulations on your new baby. Boy or girl? Is it your first? I have two and my oldest is now my best shooting and fly fishing buddy. She even has her own Discovery in .22

Congrats on the baby…
As for the clay, I think the most it can do is dry up….
Ashes to ashes dust to dust……

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I hope all is well with the Baby and the Mrs.

Thx all!

Yup, taking into consideration the potential dry out, I’ve put it inside multiple
plastic trash bags and then sealed the pellet holes with clear packing tape.

Will it dry out? I think it will. How long? Not really sure, but at the cost,
replacement is an option [b]and the hardened clay will itself become non-
toxic sets of targets I’ll stand out on fence posts and wail away on.

😀

I can’t wait to get out and try to repeat yesterday’s groupings. Having said
that… Last night my wife gave birth so I may not find time to shoot in the
near future. 😉 I’ll let you know how the clay stands the test of time.

Knife:

I’d submit that many a dead varmint and many an AF owner will attest to
the accuracy of an AF rifle; the owners willingly so and the dispatched if
they only could. 😈

Congrat’s! 😀

All you have to do is go to just about any airgun forum to read just how bad our guns are. Very inaccurate.. Heck, you have to spend at least 1700.00 for a Rapid, or more on a AirWolf, + a few hundred more to get them to be reliable plus powerful. So the Talon’s at 1/4 the price are pure junk.

Yeah! Right! Show me a Rapid, or Wolf that can do that and get 50-60 FPE. At any price! Yeah, I know there is a 80 FPE version of the Wolf, but it has to shoot a special pellet, and is notorious for screwing up!

Now if we could only have it a multi-shot! 😈

I have very good luck with the Predators, except the occasional flier.

Mike

That is some of the best consistent shooting Ive seen. Very nice.

All those clover leafs just in time for St. Patties day…
Nice job….And with Preditors no less….I didn’t think
they were that accurate at 30yds…Good to know….
Thanks for the post verdecktjaeger….
