Yo! From The Netherlands.
Hi Guys,
I`m Roel, I`m from the Netherlands. I`ve been sneaking around here every now and then since a few weeks, so I thought it might be time to introduce myself here.
The guns i`ve got are a Talon SS in .22 with an optional .25 barrel, a BSA Techstar in camo outfit, offcourse in .22 and, since a month or so, i`ve got a Shinsung Career III 300 in .22.
The only springer i`ve got is a BSA Airsporter MK1.
It`s nice to see some fellow Dutchmen over here, we`re all coming from the same Dutch airgun forum.

Dr Evil was raised by the Belgians. An even more viscious tribe than the dutch. Although they are not allowed to smoke pot. For that they come to……. You’ve guessed it Holland.
They even named a strand of pot after us. Canabis sativa forma hollandica.

We seem to get lots of Brits, Fin’s, Danes, Dutch and Belgiums but not many French, German, Spanish or Italian people on the US forums…. Always seemed odd to me.

yeah man, those silly talking Dutch have spread all over the planet, wandering through the dark forrests of Ouagadougou and ya hear some insane language and you`re hoping to meet a native Ouagadougouian, ya stick your head out of the bushes and what do you see? One of them freakin`Dutchmen! Tall, wooden shoes, building a windmill in a field of tulips and smokin`a joint!
Akula, maybe you don`t know, it`s a secret, but in fact we`re slowly taking over! It`s a matter of years before New York is called Nieuw Amsterdam again! I`ve got some De Vries` in my family, it`s the second most common name over here.
To make a long story short, we`re all kinda family, we`re all shooting airguns, and that`s enuff for me!

Roel; I grew up in Michigan. There are a lot of Dutch in hinterlands of that state. In fact, there are so many that Dutch jokes are the norm. My own mother is Dutch, a De Vries by birth. My brother was so bothered by this that he used to tell people that his mother was Dutch but he wasn’t. My brother is still a jerk by the way. I’m proud of my heritage. AKULA

Saugus, I`m using a 20″ .25 barrel in my SS, the barrel comes from a Career III 300. There`s another valve mounted in the SS, to make the Eunjin`s I`m shooting with the barrel speeding up a little. The pellets are going about 940 fps, a little lighter pellet, like the Logun Penetrator, is doing about 1050. (topspeed, not an average speed that is) I`m getting more sympathy for .25, been shooting .22 mostly the last few years (after having been a paper puncher for quite a while)
Considering all, .25 isn`t a bad caliber for the SS, not at all, every shot makes me smile. Next thing that will be done is the making of a new valve, i mean the complete set, valve and valvebody. Goal is to get the .25 about 1050 fps.

thanks a lot, it`s nice to be welcome! I know the value of a good group of guys! On the Dutch forum it`s the same thing going on, a group of hardliners, joining every shoot, helping each other out when it`s needed.

Welcome aboard, good group of guys, a wealth of information on mostly one platform of AG all in one place.
Any tips on the 300 you can show me I would be glad to look at. Mine is working great but you know how that goes.

A closing statement from me about the Dutch, a qoute in remembrance of mr. Evil from the late seventies Sid Vicious: “we`re not vicious really, we consider ourselves kindhearted, we all love our mom.”
About the nationalities here, those Germans have got a very strange airgunlaw, they don`t allow guns doing over 5,5 fpe! Not strange they don`t show up over here. The French, Italians and the Spanish maybe aren`t too enthousiast about speaking any other language then their own.
In the Netherlands the law about airguns is pretty good, no limit in energy or caliber, so there`s not much to complain about here. Public opnion about shooting in the Netherlands is over the top. When you`re telling you like to shoot guns, 80% of the people are sure you`re a potential criminal or a nutcase, the other 20% murmers about the fact that airguns are toys.
