You airgun guys are like dudes that own British sports cars
This is what my friend accused me of earlier today.
I am a NOOB to this forum so this will be a bit of an introduction for myself as well. I am a long time lurker with only one previous post to date. I work in an office full of people that hunt fish and shoot for enjoyment. I own numerous airguns. I compete in Field target, tune them, and use them to hunt with as frequently as I can. I only recently started playing with an Airforce Condor .25… I LIKE IT. I have tuned it down to 870 fps with Diablo Kings over the past few days and it is shooting ragged one-hole groups at 40 yards.
I have made some interesting observations of these airguns. One of the things I like best about them is the ease in which you can tune them.
Back to my friends statement. After what I immediate assumed was an offensive accusation. I asked him why.
He said, “You use a completely impractical and expensive gun to hunt with and you spend most of your time tinkering with it.”.
After some thought and some cooling down…I wonder if he is far from wrong? My 10-22 will do almost anything that my best airguns will do at a fraction of the cost.
Perhaps I should by an expensive British sports car.

In fact….. I got 3!!!
Yeah but my .257 condor makes 200 fpe which is twice that of a .22 rim fire. It is shrouded and quiet enough to shoot in my back yard.
Go and try to buy .22 ammo if you can even find it. I cast my own bullets for penny’s a shot.
Then when you shoot things at 300 yds it really puts a smile on your face. All done with air.
Jeep is more like it! :rofl: but seriously, British cars are for snobs. So we like to know what our guns do and how they work, what will the other guys do when there is no more gun powder or lead? 😀
