Q:

you guys were right

The 25 Marauder is still the power horse, But limit to about 16 shoots,
The Cricket 22 fill it up in the AM and shoot it all day, 45 shots and 45 dead sparrows , This gun is amazing , Now I am only shooting to 35 to 48 yards and its a no miss deal on the sparrows, As every one said the Cricket is my go to gun, I am setting the Marauder up as my bench rest gun. Just waiting to order some parts to raise the FPS to 1000 and a little below 990 or so, We going to blow up some sparrows with the polymag .25 pellets,,
But every day I shoot the 22 Cricket it it just amazes me in shot count and hits, I am looking at ordering an extra air spacer with a gauge,
Is it a pretty good deal?
The Cricket is the real deal,, Lots of money but money well spent,,,
Mike

I can live with 35 fpe, but I’d rather have 50-60!!! I may contact Ernest this Fall and see about converting it to a .25 caliber. I could be happy with that. Hoot:

Hoot, do you have on .22 cricket 35 fpe ? This is 933fps – 18grains JSB.

Wow 45 shots from a 25, I may have just put my compressor on hold,, Looks like I need a 25 Cricket,
45 shots, I am 100% impressed , I guess the marauder is going for sale,,,

It will be a while before I can save up for a 25 Cricket, What is the shot count of a 25 Cricket lets say shooting around 900 FPS?????
I think I am going to hate Ya’lls answer ,,, Mike

Mike, I was getting 45 full power shots (50 fpe) per 200 bar fill from my .25 Cricket. It hit like a sledge hammer!!! I was using 30gr Barracudas, and nothing walked away from that! I sold it because of that damn bulky synthetic stock!!! I can’t believe they are discontinuing the skeleton stock…idiots! My .22 Cricket, with the skeleton stock, is the lightest bullpup I ever owned. I can live with 35 fpe, but I’d rather have 50-60!!! I may contact Ernest this Fall and see about converting it to a .25 caliber. I could be happy with that.

And yes – the RAI is a worth while mod. I don´t know what those cost with the postage to US but you´ll get “smoother” shot cycle (the reg has an extra “buffert” of air after every shot) and reduced hammer noise, you know what exact pressure your reg is set on (and if something´s wrong with it like ie an o-ring) and you´ll know when it´s about to get off reg AND you´ll get few extra shots / fill. What´s not to like ??

What is this RAI you speak of: a reg spacer? New gauge? Both?

Regulator Adjuster Intra-uterine device. It only works on the big girls. :smilen: But if you must have the truth… http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=28368

Lol it all makes sense now 😆

I might buy that package deal, the RAI and his V3 adjuster. Then my tinkering will probably be complete :ugeekn:

The only, The only Yes I repeated it,, thing I miss with the 22 Cricket V/S the 25 Marauder is the POP of the pellet hitting the fur and feathers,,,
Now I have some other pellets to try , But the JSB 18,13 gr Its like a laser guided pellet and a red dot is on the target…
Mike

When I lowered my reg to 110 bar to shoot at 900 fps I got 60 shots from a 210 bar fill, however at that speed I got alot more fliers and accuracy wasn’t as good as 940 fps 😥 idk why….

.25 a must have? I don’t know never having one and all but I’m taking bunnies at 95 yards with a 18 grain JSB to the noggin with my .22 with no issues as long as i’m doing my job. Guess if I wanted to shoot coyotes I would consider it, but for feathers, squirrels, raccoons, even rock chucks think my .22 will do the trick.
