Zero with a range finder
I was given a friends range finder to get my zero sorted with my Stealth and went about doing so this morning. It was bloody cold but the wind was very light so it made sence to get it done.
I am shooting a .22 Bis Mag (21.4g) with a 24 inch barrel, Drums hybrid hammer, Expert HPA reg at 1500psi and a 48CU tank.
I am getting 783FPS with only 3FPS spread and more shots to one charge than i can be bothered to count.
16 yards 3.4cm / 1.3″ below X
21 yards X
26 yards X
31 yards 1.4cm / .5″ above x
36 yards 1.1cm / 4″ above x
40 yards .5cm / .2″ above x
45 yards X
50 yards X
55 yards 1.7cm / .6″ below x
60 yards 5.1cm / 2″ below x
then the battery on the range finder died 👿
It is a bit different to what chair gun thinks so i will have to adjst the BC and see if i can get it to match up a bit better.
gonna draw up a bunny, squizzer and pigeon head on a bit of paper and stick to to that massive bottle on my Stealth with aim poins marked out for the distances out to 130 yards. I recon foxed are game out to about 30 yards but i dont see that happening in a rush.

Humm-Mine is 3″ high with high mounts. Where are you guy’s getting an extra inch?
Way too much power on the scope judging by the pic you posted MaM. You are running out of cross hair at anything aproching long range. At 100 yards you will be out of the picture. At 90 yards I am on the third dot at 14x. decond dot at 10x where the scope is set from the factory to Mil. 😉

Not a problem. I am using high BSA mounts so its not that high
Oh sorry 🙂 I was going to ask what you’re using to get the extra lift on that baby lol.
That is not correct for mine. Mamacracking palyed about with chairgun to get the numbers as close as possable to mine as possible.

Hey brutus how did you get your scope so high at 3.9″ I have the big Nikko with high rings and trirail and am at 3.75″ from center of objective lens to center of bore.

i never new that. might change over to the .25 if i can get emough pressure running though my CO2 adapter
Funnily enough, a .22 kod and a .25 kod have pretty much the same traj’ as each other when fired at the same velocities. Just the .25 delivers a trolly load more energy when it gets there…
I will pop a new battery into the range finder and five it a go. I intend to get the ranges sorted at 5 yard intervals out to 130 yards so I will let you know how it works out.
Edit. Forget that I got it all wrong it’s green I tell you, green or .22
The size doesn’t effect anything brutus… If you get a chance, try a shot at a longer yardage and see if it works out….

I just plugged in the Magnification brutus said he was using…. All of my
scopes are figured using the lowest power magnification.. And the extra
inch was what i had to put in to make the trajectory line up with brutus’s
real world results…. I didn’t have all of the info I needed so I fudged
some to make it work….
