I’ll chime in here and say that these are nice rifles. My only real complaints are the thin ass bluing that rusts and scratches easy and plastic OE mags.

I think mine is quiet as hell, though does get a little louder when the pressure gets low. All I hear is ping—->thwack. Seein as how I’m plannin on gettin an AF sometime in the future, I am…Read more

quote Eradicator:Do you like the seperate readout? Do you think there is an advantage to it over being on the unit? Like the sun not washing it out.

Yeah, definitely. It has like a 20′ cable, so you can position it anywhere that is convenient for you. When you are done, you can disconnect that cable and replace it with a short one, connected to a…Read more

I have the beta master and think it is good. It will record 6 groups of 10 shots and keep the memory. This is plenty for me. The only gripe I have is not being able to upload the data directly to a software program. I guess they make a kit and cable that will enable you to do this, but it is over-pricced, IMO.

I was going to buy just the cable…Read more

Copper is harder than lead, but softer than the steel barrels are made of. I would not be worried about shooting them in any airgun. I think they would be nice as to keep lead off of your fingers, but not twice the $ nice as normal pellets.

If they were the same price, or a little bit higher, I would use them, or at least see how they did,…Read more

I agree AH.

I never heard that Beeman detuned them, but I think some users do, to tame the recoil for better accuracy. Mine is getting the same fps as yours with the same pellet.

Also, lower fps could be due to a ram that is over-pressurized.

Thanks for the welcome. I plan to get a Condor next, so have been hanging out here doing research. Lots of good info..

Yup. It’s the same one. Not too informative, but we can’t have kids taking apart their expensive toys now can we 🙂

It sounds like I have the exact same setup. I ordered mine from SS too, complete with pellet sampler, cleaning…Read more

I wouldn’t decock it. The manual says not to, not saying it can’t be done.

I’ve got the CMIV and don’t plan on getting rid of it.

Re your trigger problem, this is what the manual says:

Trigger
“The trigger is set in the factory to a fine but safe setting. It is not
recommended to adjust it further. If adjustment is required screw IN
