Turbulent airflows are quite unpredictable and random, so that could explain a part of your problems.</p>

Works like a charm and is really really really quiet.<br />
You have to be careful to get it all lined up perfectly though, mine worked from the first time but it could go wrong.<br />
Why slip something over the barrel when you can have a super large first chamber? 😉</p>

Weight is proportional to volume, the volume of say a cilinder is Pi*(radius of base)^2*height.<br />
So if you increase your diameter by 25%, you increase the radius by 25%, so your new radius is 1.25*old radius, square that, and you have 1,5625.<br />
Factor in the extra height as well, and you have twice as much weight.</p>

I&#8217;m basically in the same situation as you are, I don&#8217;t have the machinery, and even if I did, manufacturing weapons is illegal without a special gunsmithing license, and airguns are specified as weapons.</p>

or something in that general area, i barely passed statistics</p>

I don&#8217;t use it that much though, I rarely change anything on my rifle, since it works perfectly for me, so I only check every now and then to see if the performance is still on target.</p>

Because there is so much material removed, the rigidity of the frame is severely reduced in that area.<br />
