<p>Tried the overtravel take up and didn&#8217;t work.  Still had a spongy trigger with no reaction in the gun.</p>
<p>Took it all apart, checked, cleaned it and put it back together and the result was one normal shot and then &#8220;spongy trigger no fire.&#8221;</p>
<p>Is it possible that the springs are worn??? (Trigger assy. that is.) <p>50 yard shots are not difficult with the right conditions and practice. (IMO)</p>

<p>I currently use a 6.5 to 24 power 50 Objective on my SS.</p>
<p>90% of the time it is on 18 Power and I use it for target shooting as well as squirrel and rabbit.</p>
<p>I leave it there and have no problem taking squirrel with headshots out to 50 yards. <p>MY gun is picky.</p>
<p>With a .075 TH and PW 9.1 with 14.4 Benji&#8217;s and 2700psi it gave me an average of 864.  With PW 8.1 it was 830 ave.</p>
<p>With TH .100 and PW 5 it gave me Mid 600&#8217;s and with PW 8.1 it gave me 875 ave.  With PW 8.9 I got 883 ave.</p>
<p>With TH at .085 and PW 8.9 I got the same (883) and with PW 8.0 I got 877 ave.</p>

<p>With the TH set at .045 PW 5.9 and 2700 psi I was getting an average of 844 with Benji 14.4</p>
<p>With the TH set at .073 and PW 9.1 I was getting an average of 892 with them.</p>

<p>It likes JSB Jumbos better than anything else.  I can only keep my Kodiaks sub 1&#8243; at 50 yards on a good day.  The JSBs will do it all the time.</p>
<p>Still, nothing like hearing the KRACK sound a Kodiak makes when it mates with a squirrel&#8217;s noggin&#8230;.</p>

<p>The central o-ring was a smidge deformed but what it really needed was a touch of Lube!~!~</p>
<p>I too, used a tried and true paintball lube&#8230;.automotive transmission fluid.  The red stuff.   Bingo!  Just like new again.</p>

<p>I just rebuilt this last week and now this.  Ugh.</p>
<p>As I said earlier, it pumps fine till about 1000psi and then it&#8217;s really hard to bring up to pump and the down stroke only feels right half the time.  Eventually it&#8217;s just too hard to pull up and I&#8217;m not about to force it.</p>

<p>The reason was actually a little bit of both bikinicrazy52.</p>
<p>When I bought it I worked it&#8230;hard!   I used it probably 3 times a day for 2+ weeks and then one day it wouldn&#8217;t go back down after about 1500 psi.</p>

<p>I just left the shop after putting everything back together and I do mean EVERYTHING.</p>
<p>All I really did was clean the tube and polish, clean all trigger parts and polish with light moly for movement and cleaned and polished the compression spring-especially the ends.</p>
