I use a steel rod that fits snug in the hole, after heating the valve/tank up, the tank goes in a vice and rod in the valve collar. I try by hand to turn it off, if that doesn&#8217;t work a couple of whacks with a hammer will loosen the connection.</p>

Why, because they say don&#8217;t do it, it really has a adverce effect on your shot string 😕 . If so then its a matter of adjusting the pre-load on the PW. If not you may have to try changing out the valve spring to get the desired result. Adam has his rig set to shoot CPs at 950, so Kodiaks being heavier @21.1g are going to shoot about 100fps slower. Pick a pellet which shoots good in the barrel and do your best to get it around 950/ 975fps to start. Thats about as much as you want to push a pellet. Might want to ask if the threads are the same between the talon/condor and the edge. The just remove your valve from the big tank and screw into the edges if they are compatable. Less shots but alot lighter.</p>

A shot at 10-60yds which most of hunt at, hit with either pellet in the K-zone its a gonner. JSBs where marginally more accurate when i had my TSS set up shooting around 850/900fps. If you like those try the preds, one holers at 30yds is very possible.</p>

If i was looking in that price range i&#8217;d consider(purchase) a Theoban Rapid MK-II or Daystate Airwolf. Main reason would be the mods available and ease of service. Ironbrad look at baffle configurations in the shroud area, a trip to the hardware store and $5 you&#8217;ll be quiet enough to shoot outdoors. The TSS is easy to quiet down.</p>

With the tophat set at .058, PW10, 21.1g Kodiaks, TSS 12&#8243; barrel. I rounded the numbers to the nearest whole number dropping the decimal.
