I tried some Barracudas and some others, but nothing shoots like the JSBs. I consistently drill starlings in a big dead oak from my front porch lasered at 53 yds. Dead bird every time.<br />

I got the gun back after having it tuned to shoot 34 gr Kings Mk II at ~910 fps. Shoots them well, but I was surprised to find it shoots the 24gr JSBs at 980 fps very very well. I have been shooting them out of it exclusively because I get a much flatter trajectory farther out. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The grain is not as nice as walnut but the wood is super strong &amp; as lightweight as you will ever find. My goal is for a super hunting stock.<br />
Also very easy to work with. Here&#8217;s a link to how the wood looks unstinted.<br />

Not the greatest shot count (27 from 220 to off reg) but not my biggest criteria.  Purely hunting gun so shot count / fill not a big deal.<br />
ER only had Mk II to test with so I will try both.<br />

One ER tuned to 935 fps w/ 25.4 Kings &amp; the other packed ready to ship to Ernest to be tuned to shoot 34 Kings.  Spoke to ER and he will be installing titanium valve stem &amp; tuning to ~900 fps.  Actual fps to be determined but that is the target speed. I shoot JSB 18.1 and have it zeroed at 35 yards. I hold one mil dot over &amp; drop starlings out of the top of a 120&#8242; tree 70+ yards away. Easy sub-dime size groups out to 80 yards (max distance my range).<br />

Dropped one w the .25 Cricket &amp; the other flew off only to return 5 mins later to see wHy his buddy was still lazing around on the ground.
