									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oh yeah, I&#8217;m also curious about the 1/12 twist.  I would think with the low speeds 1/7 would be even better.  They use those in .223 to stabilize the long bullets&#8230;.so for sure they would work at airgun velocities.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Should be easy to mod the regulator to put out higher pressure.  I bought a &#8220;Pure Energy&#8221; tank from actionavillage and I use shim washers to get whatever pressure I need.  On my reg, every 0.2mm of washer gives me about 10bar.</p>
<p>P.S. On my tank I changed the washers from ()()() to (())(( to double the pressure from 800psi to 1600. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks for the tips.  I already made a 0.5&#8243; extension between the valve and co2 adapter to increase the buffer size a little.  It did help..but I still don&#8217;t get much change no matter what I do to the top-hat/power setting.  I&#8217;ll drill a bunch more holes in the co2 adapter and see if that helps.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I decreased the gap as much as I could but your limited by the movment of the hammer hitting the step in the barrel.  I don&#8217;t have a chrono yet, but for sure there is less dead space/wasted air.</p>
<p>The only downside is that getting the pellets in is a little more fiddly, and the really long slugs would be a no go.</p>

<p>I adjusted my hammer so there is no breech movement then added a rubber bushing behind the tophat to reduce valve travel.  I hate the idea of the tophat smashing against the brass with each shot, plus I can just use shim washers behind the rubber bushing to fine tune things.  </p>

I can turn the small OD part special for the condor no problem..but turning the entire length makes me nervous.</p>

Should stabilize really well with over twice the twist rate, even at lower velocities 🙂  It would be nice to have a projectile with a very high BC, and carry energy even past 100yrds.</p>

Green Mountain also has really low cost 1:7 twist bull barrels, but they will need some serious machining to fit in an airforce gun.  Does anyone have a clue why such slow twist rates are STILL used in air rifles?  1:16 is just way too slow.</p>
