<p>I&#8217;ve smoked many TRs at 70 yards with my TSS.</p>
<p>And at 50 yards I get pass throughs! AND, mine&#8217;s *only* pushing 20 fpe. I&#8217;m shooting 15.9 JSB Jumbos.</p>
<p>No reason to go for HUGE velocity.</p>
<p>Consitency = Accuracy, and Accuracy = A pile &#8216;o TRs!</p>

<p>Assuming you have a chrony, start experimenting.</p>
<p>A decent place to start is to screw the top hat all the way down (towards the bottle,) and back it out one full turn. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Side wheels are helpful with a good pointer set up and large side wheel for range finding. Range finding will be more precise and more reaptable.</p>
<p>I have a number of SF scopes as well as standard AO scopes.</p>
<p>SF is more convenient and an absolute must on my field target rig, but in the field, pokin at critters, AO works just fine for me.</p>

<p>When your tophat is in its &#8220;happy place,&#8221; your power wheel will have little to no effect on velocity in the majority of its range.</p>

<p>The CZs are exceptional values and as accurate as anything else.</p>
<p>Off the shelf they have shot better than some customs I have shot.</p>
<p>I also shoot a custom 10/22. Fun for a semi, but nowhere near as accurate.</p>

<p>As an example, my TSS at 750fps and JSB Jumbos will pass through TRs @ 50 yards.</p>
<p>I am betting you don&#8217;t want to ruin your fence.:)</p>
<p>You can dial a TSS in .22 to shoot at low velocites and get the job done easily.</p>

<p>I tried/owned Bushnells and Nikons but they&#8217;re not even close.</p>
<p>I actually measured out a handful of distances with all of the above. The Leica is always spot on. The other two? Forget it. They varied more than I cared for.</p>

<p>The TSS, set up as noted above, already has passed through several TR&#8217;s @ 50 yards with great accuracy.</p>
