I had a aluminum/delrin valve stem in the gun for two years ( a replacement for the original plastic one that came with the gun ), then 2 months ago it blew all the air out the barrel. I discovered the nylon seal on the aluminum valve stem was deformed, so I put in a spare I had. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I made up some simple spinners from stuff on my workbench that I then attach to trees or posts using a lag bolt. The photo tells it all, but all you need are washers, bolts, some flat heavy duty steel strap to bend around the lag bolt, and a 4-6&#8243; lag bolt. They hold up well if you use heavy bolts and double up the washers. Hillbilly spinners :smilen: </p>

The worst shifts are when shooting in the winter in sub freezing temps and the Cricket has just come out of a nice warm house. You can just watch the poi shift as the gun cools. The POI drops if I remember right. Donny has a slight spin in Ted&#8217;s method, using two short pieces of vinel tube instead of one. I plan to do this as soon as I can get to the hardware store to buy some tubing.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I owned the Hawke 4-12X40, and it was a good scope, but the dots were too large for fine paper punching. I have read other reviewers that said the same. It&#8217;s fine for hunting though. I have a Vortex 4-12X40 Diamondback A0 that is really nice. Very clear optics.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m hoping to do that in the morning. Did a test earlier today but lost one of my strings so I have incomplete data. It appears that I got 60 good shots in the high 880&#8217;s to 905 fps. Three of the strings had extreme spreads of 8, 11, and 13 but I think it was wider in the 60 shot group. I lost the first string and I know some of the shots were around 880.</p>

When I turned the adjustment screw on the reg 1/2 turn to increase the speed it was a real bear to budge the screw at all, and once I did the reg stopped working. <p>It seems that the early Crickets have a valve stem that has a plastic head. My gun is #247 and has a plastic head on the valve stem, but mine hasn&#8217;t broken. I did try replacing the old stem with a new one that I got from AoA to head off the breaking plastic issue, but the new one wouldn&#8217;t work in my gun. <p>Here are my homemade pellet traps, made of plywood with 2X4 &#8220;Pellet Stop&#8221; backing. My boxes are 8.5X11 exterior dimensions so I can tape 8.5X11 targets to it, and are 8&#8243; deep I think. They are also lined with indoor/outdoor carpet to quiet the drum effect down a bit. I did the same thing when I first tried to shoot mine. You pull the lever back (not the cocking lever) to put the magazine in, then you push it forward and then down I think.
