									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I would go for .495&#8243;. I try to make the barrel .080&#8243; larger then the bore. Seem to work good so far. You will need to turn it down for power wheel I think also. </p>
<p>I just dropped a .375 barrel in my 308. Makes 400 fpe on 3400 psi with 208 gr bullets. Thats on my 338 size valve. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You want the barrel to be .370&#8243;-.374&#8243;. The smaller the better. 12 mm is to big. Might work but if you turn it up to shoot slugs it will tank dump. </p>
<p>You want the barrel as thin as possible. That is why  when you put a .177 barrel in a .25 condor you have to put a stiffer spring in the valve or it will tank dump.</p>

 to fix all the problems. </p>
<p>AAO is in the process of making new valve bodies to replace the old ones.</p>

Thats all I could get out of them. Well AAO contacted all of the people that have purchased the valve and no one has had a failure.</p>

I think they get what ever is cheapest for them and it&#8217;s hit or miss on its strength. It sure looks like delrin but doesn&#8217;t sound like it when you tap on the broken pieces. I have only seen a few that have broke and is usually with 3600 psi or more.</p>

<p>I have a friends texan in the garage and I have had it up to 650 fpe with 372 gr slug. The shroud works good. Gun has some serious kick and can only imagine how loud it is without it.</p>
<p>Same gun make 550 fpe on 3000 psi also with 372 or 480 fpe with 280 gr.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Metal breech doesn&#8217;t work real good. Works ok on a stock spring gun. As soon as you increase the hammer spring the breech tends to gall on the barrel. Cocking becomes difficult. Nothing works as good delrin. </p>
<p>Yes I do use aluminum  breech but I don&#8217;t cock the gun with the breech. Just open and close to load.</p>

<p>That thing is 20+ hours of machining on my lathe. It starts out as a 16 lb piece of 4&#8243; 1144. Then put in my friends CNC mill for like 2 min to shape the drop down. </p>
<p>I have 2 of them, one on .257 and one on 338. The tank setup is 7lbs. They are both 21 cu chambers. 338 makes 360 fpe and can make more by shimming up the reg.</p>

The main problem is that the stock spring is to long and hammer is to heavy. On a talon 0 PW still to much and people can&#8217;t get a curve. There is to much preload just putting the gun together. I even have 3&#8243; springs for my 257, 308 and 338 but haven&#8217;t played with them yet. Stock is 4.7 lbs. I&#8217;m running 13 lb with 150 gr hammer but my valves are massive compared to stock.</p>
<p>I have never seen a AF gun hammer bounce though. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yeah typical AF. I noticed on newer guns they are putting a type of lock washer on that screw to make it shorter. It&#8217;s a bandaid and bolt should be just made shorter. </p>
<p>Friend had the same thing happen to his texan because he tightened up the forearm grip after noticing it was loose.</p>

Won&#8217;t shoot a small bullet like 90% of people would do. Barrel twist is way to fast and that&#8217;s why it has to shoot 350+ gr slugs. What&#8217;s wrong with shooting a 250 gr bullet at 950 fps? Still 500 fpe. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have the rcbs pot and it only goes to 850 degrees unless you take it apart and remove the stop on the dial.  That requires drilling out all the riots though. </p>
<p>The cheap Lee bottom pour should go past 850 degrees. I have a 220 volt one and it goes way to hot.</p>

Only problem was I forgot to add the end mill size the notch was in the wrong spot.  So I came up with the idea of putting a cap on the frame. Then later I made the other piece so it covered the the original slot.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You need 1.50&#8243; OD × 1.25&#8243; ID tubing. Then I put it in lathe and just take enough off the OD to make it round. Then cut off the piece.  Then I chuck it up centered in the jaws and bore the ID to 1.260&#8243; that is what most frames measure. Then I put a taper on one end.</p>

<p>Better to have a good oil and a good filter then a so so oil and try not to run a filter. </p>
<p>Really surprised anyone would even think about buying one of these compressors. Especially with his customer service, I mean no customer service</p>

<p>He says he fills 2 tanks from 0-4500 before every compressor shipped. </p>
<p>What&#8217;s the point of having this compressor. Even a shoebox can fill a 88 cf tank.</p>
<p>The compressor is a flop.</p>

<p>Unless they knew these things had serious problems already,  there is no way they fixed all the problems that fast with any long term testing.</p>
