Mrnewbie: That is a very interesting article indeed, I think I will try that. I do wonder if that Mr. Clean product will not disintegrate over time.

powderburner: your comments match my understanding of this as well.

Lady at Airforce was clear when she said approximately 20% loss in max. vel. Stiffer valve means less air comes out. My understanding is that the .177 Condor needs a stiffer valve spring to prevent tank dumps.

So I guess it is an issue only if you want to hot rod for…Read more

I have the same question as powderburner for Walkonking: I have the same setup, 24″ Condor with the .177 tank and .22 barrel. I use a Hill hand pump and am able to get the tank to 3000 psi if I want to. While I have not fully figured out my strings I have not noticed any unusually small shot counts. With the power wheel turned up I can easily…Read more

Well I can tell you what most here will tell you, don’t vent the rear bushing. It allows crud to blow towards your face and the guns internals. I vented my front bushing at the same time I got my shroud, so I can’t really do a fair comparison.

So you’ve got the .177 tank? Glad to hear you don’t lose much with it. I was hoping to get 1,000 fps with Kodiak .22, or just above that. Did your accuracy go bad when they went super sonic? I get about a little over 1,000 fps withe 10.5 gr., .177s, and that is with the power wheel turned down midway.
