Lady at Airforce was clear when she said approximately 20% loss in max. vel. Stiffer valve means less air comes out. My understanding is that the .177 Condor needs a stiffer valve spring to prevent tank dumps.

It allows crud to blow towards your face and the guns internals. I vented my front bushing at the same time I got my shroud, so I can’t really do a fair comparison.
