Needed to try It with a weaker spring and lighter hammer but I&#8217;ve misplaced my torx bits so couldn&#8217;t! It&#8217;s eating air as It Is. Groups weren&#8217;t too bad though with the light pellets @ 25yds.</p>

Some replace with a weaker spring but TBH I don&#8217;t think there&#8217;s much wrong with the stock one. Just flatten the edges so It sits flat against the valve seal and spring retainer. I paid 60 quid and that was perhaps 5 or even more years ago now. Pritty good value I think. I havn&#8217;t even ahd to replace a seal.</p>

I think I&#8217;m damaging them In some way getting them In as the groups I&#8217;ve just shot at 35 yards are pritty crap! I was almost getting 2 seperate groups. 1 smack on the bull and another about an inch off bull 😕 </p>

<p>Yep, It&#8217;s been proved before that the hammer slap mod can reduce power. A hybrid hammer from Drum does quieten the rifle down a touch aswell as improving consistency.</p>

I have one and It&#8217;s a silver finish so perhaps that one In the pic has just been sprayed. The early valves were ready O ring modded but apparently not very well. They also had alignment issues too I&#8217;m led to believe.</p>

Have you been playing with the hammer and spring recently as too much load can keep the valve open. It doesn&#8217;t usually close up again though &#8211; Rather drains the whole tank In about 5 seconds 😆</p>
