Good Question Tony. The first problem would be finding a .17 or .223 bullet in soft cast lead. They might be available but I have never seen one. I have a custom 17hmr varmint gun that is very accurate out to 100 yards but that round also shoots at 2500fps, a figure that you will never be able to reach with an airgun. The second problem with the…Read more

The Guy at the local paintball shop told me in a recent chat that tanks should be filled at approx. 300psi/min. seemed a little fast to me but I have had a tank filled from him several times and they always read…Read more

quote SAVAGESAM:When they hydro a tank, they test it at 150% of max. rated pressure.
Well Sure, tank ratings are generally 1/6th of actual fail pressure giving you a 600% fail safe. Im just saying I would not risk it. granted 4500 is only 150% of 3000 but it still seems sketchy to me. However I tend to lean to the side of caution.

Oh ok. I was unclear. sorry bout that. as for the material i am not sure. If I had to guess though i would think the valve would fail before the adapter itself. but that is again just a guess. however also remember that the AF tank side of the clamp should never exceed 3000psi due to the tank ratings. So im not sure if they design the adapter on…Read more

quote SAVAGESAM:Would someone please compare the part of the scuba clamp that looks like the Co2 adaptor, to the Co2 adaptor? They look the same to me.

Savage, the part of the scuba clamp that I believe you are refering to is simply an adapter to attach the bottle to the clamp itself. The CO2 adapter is a little more complicated in that it houses…Read more
