Okay, so I’ve gone and watched Ernest’s videos on the regulator and think I can tackle it, but one question stick in the back of my mind. Without the tool he used to measure and adjust the regulator, how do I know where I’m at now, and how far to adjust it? Seems like a guessing game to me. Take it out, turn it CW about a half turn and hope for the best?

Believe me when I say I meant no disrespect to Ernest. I will admit though that I am a little gun shy when it comes to taking apart a 1600$ rifle and messing with the regulator without some idea what I’m doing. I saw his video on adjusting it out of the gun, but since I don’t have the tools, I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know what I’m doing…Read more

Well, thanks guys for the assist. I went downstairs after work and backed out the hammer spring 6 turns from full clockwise and bingo, ~800fps w/ 14.3gr pellet (20.1fpe).
I decided to run a string, and all I can say is I could not have expected results this good. I’ll post it below, but in short I filled to 220bar, shot down to 125bar, and got…Read more
