What caliber did you get???

Hoot:

I got the .22 version. Had a couple of issues with the HW100 LDC but I think its due to me tuning it to low (815fps-820fps). Finally got to an LDC
that worked but I think I’ll…Read more

I’ll post the LDC picture in a bit.
The shroud on the picture is the stock one. Its metal with the baffle system that screws on the barrel 1/2-20.
The cap is the thread adapter from Hagan. The LDC is not on the picture.
This Taipan is incredibly!! quiet with shroud and LDC, just unreal to hear it, sounds like its broken.
As far as the stock goes,…Read more

My long awaited Taipan.
What a nice piece of work. Took me a long time to find the correct LDC as I expected it to work with the common brands (HW100 etc..).
Finally settled for a carbon fiber that I’ve had for a while. Very accurate!!! I’m so happy!!

Looks like your H-3 1/2 and S-0 is the way to go.
My marauder shoots very well with H-4 and S-0 and adjust the valve half way (or your taste for shot count or flb)
What you are looking to do is for the first shots to start climbing and then to diminish so you can have a good curve and minimize the FPS spread.
Best setup for shot count for me was…Read more

I have a synthetic stock so wood does not apply to me; however, for barrel cleaning its a good idea to clean around 200 shots.
Two passes of wd40 with dual patch will do and one pass with Remington remoil. Don’t want to take everything out of the barrel and re-cure again.

That should keep you accurate for a very long time.

Is your barrel threaded (like 1/2″-20)?
There are three things to work on:
