I evidently put it back in right the second time but I didn’t pay attention to how it dropped out of the frame. Regardless, you’re advice is solid and I’ll limit the beer consumption next time I tear into one.

I’m wondering if the striker was in backwards and couldn’t catch. Who knows, it’s possible I was drunk when I did it and this was my first time inside of an AF rifle. All in all it was a good experience and your input is appreciated.
