I measured (caliper) stuff I had laying around and found the film was .05.  The Al I used is .13 as I recall. I also tried the plastic from TV dinners but it was thinner than I expected.</p>

I shimmed the front ring on the tri rail with aluminum strip from a pellet tin. I did not get good results trying to shim the rail with aluminum.  I guess I need to chew up a roll of film. I bought some-ok no problems.  I aslo got some divers silicone last week because I liked the container.  The divers silicone is labeled &#8221; food safe&#8221; which makes sense. Good to 40 yards depending on the backqround. Drawback switch near the front of the light. I don&#8217;t have any crocus cloth anymore.  Get that part nice and shiny?  I don&#8217;t recall where I read something along these lines.<br />

Somewhere possibly on the Talon Site that is down, that there is mention of some sort of screw involving the power wheel in volved when changing the barrel. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I think that I have read just about all I could find about adjusting the tophat.  Before I go digging into it the question is:  Is the tophat threaded or is the adjustment just a slide with the grubscrew lock?  I got a new set of shims yesterday.
