I am really interested in these two lenses. From the spec sheets:

Both are much shorter than the Hawke, at 19.5 inches. The NF is 11.5 and the LRHS 13.5. The Hawke weighs 27.5 ounces, the NF 20 and the LRHS 25. Both are compact, but not exactly lightweights. The LRHS is one third shorter but weighs the same.

Yikes. I guess that’s the other end of the cost spectrum. 🙂

Since I’ve got you on the phone, what would be the downside of a Zeiss Terra 3x 3-9x50mm Riflescope? “Adjustable” to four feet (focus not stated) and weighs a pound. It certainly would be clear in daylight, and the front objective is approaching the limit without raising the rail.

Thanks, Fudd. As I read more about the Eotech, the holographic sight has no magnification. All of my shooting is 20 to 40 yards, and old eyes could us some magnification. I’m using a Hawke Sidewinder TAC 30 6.5-20X42 Mildot now, usually at 10x or less. Great scope, but heavy.

Thanks, guys. I very much want to avoid tinkering with the regulator and especially so given that everything was working pretty good right out of the box and the only hiccup has been the hammer spring coming unscrewed.

I realize every gun is different and that the bottom line is accuracy,…Read more

Any suggestions on a moderator to use with this adapter on an R3M? Is an adapter and moderator advisable given the barrel design of the R3M?

Thanks, Charlie. The first shot string is offered as a baseline for comparison purposes to anyone interested. And I am encouraged by your experience, and no doubt others are looking for feedback on the new batch of R3Ms. While there is room for improvement, I am loving this gun and absolutely impressed with the craftsmanship. She is a thing of beauty.
