I&#8217;ve won 100m indoor competition matches, and this TM1000 was especially bought for competition shooting.</p>
<p>As I told, this rifle shot ragged hole at 50m, the distance where most benchrest competition are at held.  We shoot at 100m, and it was a disaster.</p>

At 100 indoor shooting range (and one of the finest available according to Ted and Zoco 🙂 ) it would do in 10 shot groups almost 4 to 5 flyers. Groupsize: 6 to 10 cm.<br />

<p>We were not amused with the TM. It is in the factory only tested at 50 yards max and&#8230; You can see. At 110 yards (100m) the results were really terrible. Also the internals very very fragile and the spring broke several times etc.. All within 1500 shots.</p>

After adjusting the speed to 885fps, it stayed there.</p>

How to test? Very easy: line up targets at 10 30 50 70 and 100 yards.<br />
If you shoot on this different distances, the pellet should be always on the center of the vertical line.  If you scope is not centered with the barrel, it will go left to right or other way around.</p>

It is NOT more accurate then a Hatsan.  So, &#8230;?</p>
<p>Basically, you can see the hatsan or hamerli as a Mrod.  Some tuning needed to perform a bit better, finish is the same, except that the Hatsan is more a robust look and feel.</p>

The hatsans that not shoot bad are the ones with LW barrels.  They are ok.</p>

<p>However as Steve mentioned, FX is not the best &#8220;internal&#8221; airgun.  Basically it&#8217;s like a theoben, but then thinner.  The parts are not as robust as a theoben, they are all lighter and thinner and thus more easy to break.<br />
Here in EU we don&#8217;t have a problem to find new parts, i don&#8217;t know how that is in the US.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s Gringo&#8217;s R2.5 now 🙂</p>
<p>Difference&#8230; Not much, overall the same but the R3 is a lillte bit harder to clean.  That&#8217;s for me, just a shooter, not a mechanic, the biggest difference.</p>
<p>Maybe also a bit less recoil, but both have almost no recoil but still, if you go far in precision shooting, every mm counts! 🙂</p>
