My drop chart stops at 70 yards so I made a quick guess and held over and into the wind, I missed by several inches but I was very impressed with how hard the pellet hit the rock. I don&#8217;t have a carbine but I am pretty confident in saying that the carbine won&#8217;t reach 900fps with 18gr pellets. I believe it will reach the mid 800&#8217;s with 15.8 gr. JSB They are great rifles. My ERB was my favorite until my Edgun came along.</p>

I had a Crosman 760 when I was 9 and I put the hurt to the local bird population. It shot both BBs and .177 pellets. I still have it, 30 years later, but it does not hold air any more.<br />

It balances well and looks good on the Edgun.  It&#8217;s adjustable down to 30 feet and is 4-16powerX42mm. I like it because the turrets very repeatable and will return to zero after I run it up for a long shot.<br />

I used to shoot a lot with custom centerfire rifles and did a lot of informal target shooting.  I handloaded my own target ammo and took accuracy very seriously. It is actually a nice Oehler 35P that I have had for a long time. It is kind of a pain to set up compared to the one I have now and it began giving errors so I got a new one. I turned the power adjusting screw in half turns at a time and shot over the chronograph. I will also give it a full tank of air.  I will try for the highest velocity that still gives me 50 consistant shots.      Have you considered the Benjamin Discovery sold by Crosman?  It is a nice gun and it runs at 2000 psi so it would be easier to pump up or you would get more fills from a 3000 psi tank.  Check the Crosman website for more info.
