Actually Ed has set many EdGuns up to shoot 12ft-lbs for the UK and other areas with energy limits and they do just fine…

In fact mine at just under 18ft-lbs gets 150+ shots. I bet you could get another 100 to 150 if turned down to 12ft-lbs. ๐Ÿ˜‰
