Thanks Greg. I have that patchworm system and it has worked well for me. I just got the BoreBlitz .22 and .25 bore snake in the mail today and I pulled each one of them through a couple of times. They seem to work well but I’ve only tried them dry and it was too dark to go out and shoot afterwards but I don’t expect to have any issues. I did have…Read more

I didn’t have much luck finding or fixing the leak on my own so I decided to contact the guys at R & L Airguns that sold me the Mutant in the first place. After talking with Matt, I decided to send my Mutant back to them for a complete seal replacement. It turns out that I had unknowingly done at least some of the damage myself by using a bore…Read more

Thanks for all of the responses. I don’t have a lot of confidence in my ability to fix a mutant. I had a Benjamin rifle and pistol that I worked on a little and I had a mishap once that didn’t do any harm other than scare the pants off of me! Now I’m even more gun shy when it comes to working on a 250 bar rifle that I hold right next to my…Read more

I have the Taipan Veteran Standard .25 and I cannot say anything bad about it other than it’s almost too powerful for where I live. I can only shoot in certain directions because I have relatively close neighbors. It’s accurate, powerful, adjustable, durable and reasonably priced as PCP rifles go. I also have a Taipan mutant .22 that I would like…Read more

That’s the same with my 22’s. Most of the time birds go down ok but larger critters don’t always. My .25 Veteran standard takes the “ifyness” out of the equation if I’m even close to a good shot.

I hadn’t noticed the missing grooves, either. I just take a white, auto body touch-up tube and place a white dot over one hole and always load the full magazine with that dot on top. Makes it easy to keep up with how many pellets are left when you approach the end.

I’m very interested in replacing my .25 mrod with a .25 mutant but if it is as powerful as my .22 mutant, I’m not sure I’ll be able to shoot it in my limited area! My standard is shooting at about 32 fpe and it zips right through most of the varmints I have to dispatch. Maybe I could use a .25 standard on a boar hunt.
