<p> I expect that the 3mm raindrop valve will be around 3,4 grams.<br />
So I would start with a light hammer &amp; spring for sure, otherwise the pellet will go supersonic &amp; the hammer will hit the bronze nut.<br />

<p>forget that heavy bronze valve now you don&#8217;t use the valvespring anymore.  On a 3mm rod you can use POM without problems.<br />
If you make the shape of the valve like a half raindrop with the thick (round) end at the pressuretube side,  you&#8217;ll get another few procents of extra power.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>That&#8217;s not so weird.   The valve opens faster and wider, so the pellet will be &#8220;kicked&#8221; a bit more, as in a springer.  That is more efficient than a &#8220;slowly&#8221; rising pressure.</p>
