I expect that the 3mm raindrop valve will be around 3,4 grams.
So I would start with a light hammer & spring for sure, otherwise the pellet will go supersonic & the hammer will hit the bronze nut.

forget that heavy bronze valve now you don’t use the valvespring anymore. On a 3mm rod you can use POM without problems.
If you make the shape of the valve like a half raindrop with the thick (round) end at the pressuretube side, you’ll get another few procents of extra power.

The valve opens faster and wider, so the pellet will be “kicked” a bit more, as in a springer. That is more efficient than a “slowly” rising pressure.
