cyg i think you got it right again as the old valve seemed to push the roundball out faster than the new big valve,i have got a lot of preload now,and the hammer spring makes it quite hard to cock,i may have a last test with the super spring i have here,but would not use it with that spring,only maybe test once as it aint no thumb breaker its more…Read more

815fps with the roundball,and they are fairly soft lead so should be going through barrel easier,what kind of spring are you using as the thumbbreaker of a spring i was using had no more diference than the lighter one that come with the valve,although with the lighter one i had a few probs as not enough to knock tophat back with a 200bar fill,

i get 1080fps with a .25 24″ barrel,and one of seans valves,using 30g kodiaks,and get around 12 quality shots at that sort of velocity before my bottle needs a top up,oh its a real thumper,tophat turned out no more than 3mm,

000 ball is giving around 850 and it seats in the breach ok,well the ball i am using are .354 i think the 000 is around .36,but you can open the breach a bit,a top tip from cyg i think on one of his threads,that is only about 5mm in,then they will go in nicely,oh and it is real quite with the pickle i have got too,sounds more like a whoooosh,

think hammer is around 150gram,and the spring has a bit of pre tension probably 4/5mm,it is opening the valve ok on a 250bar fill,so i f i go to between 6/7mm on the stem i/d you think that should bring it up,great more power,yaaaaahooo,

158g slugs seat ok,they are lead alloy mix,yay the ooo .354ball work well,valve stem id is 5mm,i think 6mm id may take up the power more,any ideas on that you big bore guys?hammer and spring are opening the valve nicely
