Set up as a carbine, I was getting one hole groups at 20 yards with JSB 8.44 and 10.34 grainers, RWS Superdomes, Polymags, and Hunter Extremes.  When I had my P-rod, I only got decent groups from the H&amp;N Field Targets.  Everything else was lackluster.<br />

However, if I up the magnification, it gets darker and the practical distance decreases.  I would love to have the same illumination at 10x and 50 yards as I am getting now at 7x and 15 yards.<br />

Based on what you have said here, and what I have seen from doing some research, your setup seems pretty good.  How hard is it to take the IR filter out of the bullet camera?  Also, how do you mount the dvr on your scope?<br />

My SS will put 5 pellets into one ragged hole at 20 yards, and doesn&#8217;t open much more than that out at 40 yards.  I would feel more than confident taking shots at animals out to 50 yards.<br />

I did notice just about an hour ago that I can feel a SMALL puff of air come out around the tophat when I shoot it, enough to blow out a lighter flame.
