Not taking the reg into account this equilibrium will give different speeds depending on pressure.  Ie the bellcurve which as I see it is more like a characteristic of the setup.. Because of that the last few bar creep of the regulator influences the pellet speed a lot. The pressure was probably good for the 25grainers and that&#8217;s why you didn&#8217;t notice it then. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>IIRC the o-rings for the breech are BS11 That has a crosssection of 1.58mm. You could try a standard metric size that has 1,5mm cross section. When I make my breech I always cut the o-ring groove 0,4mm less deep than the calculated diameter. Say your barrel is .308&#8243; cros section of the o-rings is 1/16 then the groove depth should be 0.417&#8243;</p>

That&#8217;s to be a direct replacement for the gauge body that normaly sits in the gun. Furthermore you would have the gauge mounted very deeply in the stock when you don&#8217;t use the adapter.</p>

-how do you anchor the barrel. Solid slugs take a lot of force getting them out of a barrel.  Not someting you hold with a couple of set screws.<br />
-the tubing for the air cylinder looks quite thin. Did you do any calculations on it?</p>

make a sleeve with the same angle. Do the math on what shrinkage you need and heat the bushing.<br />
than put it over your barrel end tightly.  Let cool and you should have a nice and gradual choke.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Did some barrelwork this weekend, and found the same. That&#8217;s not to say it is a bad thing.</p>
<p>Did 2 BSA blanks and 1 LW barrel.</p>
<p>Obeservations.<br />
-Steel is different, old barrels were almost like free machining steel this is much grainier and seems to have a higher sensile strength. Machining finish is closer to LW than to the old style BSA.<br />

<p>Wind from the left about 2-3m/s (4-5mph.) off and on.</p>
<p>All shots went on the target (the one on the far right just besides the sticky target was from sight in) The one on at the top and left were from small scope adjustemts. Shouldn&#8217;t have done that  😐 </p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The standard airforce tank has a 250bar fill pressure (at least mine does). I fill between 220 and 230 bar so I can use a 300bar scuba tank a bit more efficiently. But that gives me around 60 to 70 shots.<br />
Ewoodie is running the reg in .22 and gets around a 100 shots I think.</p>

<p>Your regulator is bleeding air past it and sending the regulated plenum space with a higher pressure than what the reg set pressure is.  One or both of the regulator&#8217;s &#8220;bobbin&#8221;  O rings needs to be lubed with silicone grease and/or replacesd.  </p>
