John Bowman was fire lapping the 308 for me, and said he selected a spring for me that gets nice tight 4 shot groups. He mentioned he was shooting 130 grainers at out to 150 yards and putting them all into a 6&#8243; steel plate. He said the shots start off at 850 fps and then drop to around 750. The bullets in the upper left of the picture are rejects I will remelt that are ,452 for my XP Ranger.  I did not yet sit down and sort the 308s for rejects. I noted some wrinkled ones. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It shouldn&#8217;t matter, zero it in daylight with the cap/filter on or zero it at night without it.  Both zeros are same. Likely easier to zero it in daylght when you can pinpoint the bullseye a bit easier.<br />
I have an AMT, I zeroes in daylight with cap on, it works well in dark too.<br />

Serious powerhouse with 2200-2500 psi, shot a 3 shots one hole group the second day I ever shot it.<br />

the meds he mentioned (meclizine and lovastatin) would likely not cause you any problems. You can get an empty tupperware bowl, squeeze some of a tube of clear silicone out of a caulking gun into it, then spray a can or part of a can of brake clean into it. You were right the first 3 shots are nearest to consistent and then it falls off quick after that, however to me it seems the drop is not that much considering the 4500 went down around 3000.
