Yep have seen the burr issue. If you do get them off then you want to carefully get rid of the burrs. You may need to get a piece of wood or a tube to you can knock/tap them loose. Take them and swap them front to back and also try leaving each in their current positions on the barrel but turning them them around so that the face is reversed. You might try the later one at a time.

Longer barrel is more efficient but it is also heavier and bulkier. It’s sort of what one likes.

I tried those lower power 22 CB caps and whatever. Had real good luck I thought,,, but was frustrated with inconsistency. Got to the point it was driving me nuts so took up the pcp.
Higher power 22 rounds no problem, fairly consistent but then the noise and range come back.

Stock SS parts work fine and better when they are all tuned up so to speak. Pick a mid PW then make adjustments to the top hat.
As a general mention if you use more weight you tend to lose adjustment and power curve.
