Seems about optimum for me.<br />
Good ES and SD.<br />

25 mm somewhat harder.<br />

<p>Think the V gun takes some bedding in, more so than Cricket.<br />
Only use JSB pellets.<br />
FPS set to around the 900 fps figure<br />
Obviously clean the barrel. What year is yours? Think the regulator design was changed last year.<br />
Just fire it for 500 or so shots, mine definitely tightened up the groups.<br />

I use a Ward D700 nv add on . Simplicity itself, pop it on to the rear of your scope, carrying on shooting as normal until light has totally gone. Then fit IR toch to top of scope and carry on.<br />

<p>The diablo shaped pellet is a design feature to reign in long carry overs.<br />
They work best , IMO , all calibres around the 900 fps figure. Higher fps = worse accuracy , more strain on all parts and worse shot count.</p>

Re lever is is the same size as the part plastic lever? Ie fixing point and lever handle, looks bulkier. Does it still use the locking pin to mount lever to the fixing block? Presumably locking pin system still needed as fulcrum cam obstructs machine screws being reinserted into fixing holes on gun. <p>Just fitted my side lever. Absolutely over the moon with it. Has totally transformed my Vulcan. Forget the metal side plate issues, the moulding on mine was perfect.<br />
Smooth and quiet in operation.<br />
If anyone reading this has a Vulcan just do it. The gun is transformed. Faster firing too.</p>

<p>Post took awhile for the side lever to arrive.<br />
Bit fiddly to install. Beware those side plate machine screws. Get the right torque bit otherwise&#8230;</p>
<p>However once installed what a difference. Transformed a very good gun into an excellent one. So smooth and quiet.<br />
Almost fires as well as a semi auto now.<br />

<p>The trigger is NOT an issue, believe me.Man made compounds abound in many different areas. Military equipment , high stress areas as on Formula 1 racing cars, space technology. Steel is slowly becoming an old victorian construction material.<br />

<p>Maybe I am confused.</p>
<p>My Vulcan .25 is firing JSB kings 25.39 grains at around 900 fps. Appx 45fpe. Nothing unusual with that.<br />
Accuracy ,I am not a good shot.<br />
Hits sugar cubes at 100 yards appx 4 shots out of 5.<br />
One inch group not hugely difficult.<br />

My V .25 firng JSB 25 grain pellets. I fill to 220 bar comes off Reg at appx 150 bar.<br />
Gives 36 to 40 shots.<br />
Would suggest you adjust HST to appx 900 to 910 fps.<br />
When you see a large rise in Fps around the 38 to  40 shots is coming off the reg.<br />

I have a 150 mile round journey to fill my two 300 bar bottles. So I think my fill pressure at around 220 230 bar is more suitable. Quite remarkable shot string, even better than month before. When I get my new hammer/spring combo if my V gets close to those figures I shall be over the Moon. It must shoot like a dream.<br />
Question though? Is the bolt stiff over the last inch or so, ie when pushing pellet into breach?  Mine is in spite of lubing the O ring.</p>

Suggest you contact Evgeny at the factory by email.<br />
He is very quick to respond.<br />
I have a .25 so cannot comment about bushing etc. But feel sure he will change the HST adjuster for you and hopefully the other areas. On the .25 V there are some changes to the Hammer and other areas which he supplies free of charge. See other posts.<br />

<p>I posted earlier that my Vulcan .25 was giving poor shot strings showing peaks and troughs. Over appx 34 shots around the 900 fps figure a ES of 23 fps and SD around 6 fps. At this point I heard Vulcan are producing supplying free on application to Evgeny a different hammer spring combo. He requests you return the old items.</p>

<p>I have the Hawke in the Video clip frpm SA,  and also the Edgun scope, the latter very similar to SWFA being fixed power not variable.</p>
<p>The test for the turret accuracy should have the turrets spun many times. Then retest. Brian is suggesting they wear with use.</p>

<p>Agreed which is why I said &#8221; reduced shot count&#8221; from a heavier pellet. Ipso Facto , needs a higher velocity therfore reducing shot count.<br />
