And what ever parts the dealer is willing to ship accept them, I&#8217;m not so sure about buying some other brand, you have sorted some of the weak points on yours. </p>
<p>What if second brand isn&#8217;t any better? </p>

Quality is ok(ish) you just need to deburr the O-ring grooves for they are very sharp and will eventually cut the rings.<br />
Did hold ok in hydro test, no drama and no deformation of any kind.<br />
Filter is a bit small considering how much molecularsieve it holds but other than that its ok. </p>

You can clip the spring and get more adjustability out of it. And the spring doesn&#8217;t cost so much in the first place so no much harm there if you decide you once more need the factory spring preload.<br />

It turned out pretty hard, normal metal file can&#8217;t touch it.<br />

Cylinder is a write off, it has a hairline crack in it.<br />
42crmo4 barstock arrived yesterday so I&#8217;ll be making new piston and cylinder as well.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well yeah, ouch. Obviously the piston didn&#8217;t like me cutting ring grooves on it, it was too hard material and snapped from the bottom groove.<br />
Oh well, need to turn new piston from 42crmo4 harden it and coat it like the first time, lapping it to the cylinder and not cutting ring grooves. Need to make new rod from 7075 but that&#8217;s no problem. </p>

There is valve pocket drilling inside that reach m18 thread area and that is 14.78mm<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So is the air circulating via all those pipes and cooling between stages? If so then it&#8217;s pretty clever design. Purging often enough and adding desiccant filter to output should get you pretty ok dry air.<br />

Nothing worse than 1200$ paperweight.<br />
Time shows the one of these that will be good and the bad, they are all mostly ugly. </p>

The piston rings are some sort of teflon composite. But I think it&#8217;s the second stage valve that&#8217;s leaking. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok so had little problem, it wasn&#8217;t the fourth that was giving me grief, third had a two broken piston rings, and the C expander springs had scratched the cylinder slightly, turned it in the lathe to 19.05mm and made new oversized rings out of teflon. Let&#8217;s see how long it lasts. It got only 0.05mm bigger so nothing major.<br />

No cooling coil between the stages that&#8217;s a big minus on my book. One unit reviewed and that&#8217;s all we know, even nimrod got lucky with couple of units so only time will tell how bad or good this is.<br />

So there may have been issue with headgasket otherwise they wouldn&#8217;t have change it.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It was entertaining to read, by the looks of it it&#8217;s just another version of the same family. They just used carbonfiber looking parts to hide the compressor parts from view.<br />
The crankcase looks pretty same as nimrodairs. And that fill whip looks dead cheap.<br />
Lookin this and knowing what&#8217;s inside the carrette, you know my point. </p>
