<p>polish and port the stem, use a heavy hammer with a high tophat, and drill out the transfer port in the adapter body, maybe add a hole or 2. </p>
<p>only other way to wrench much more from the co2 besides heat or air contamination, is of course use a longer barrel.</p>

<p>doug here uses urethane almost exclusively, and i love it for the fact that it is about the toughest material to use in an o ring.</p>
<p>kinda like viton too, but i use FC grease in my breech, and that can cause viton to deteriorate or swell, being FC based as well.</p>

<p>try out some heavy slugs and see what it does with them.</p>

<p>if you got a stock delrin piece, silicone grease is the way to go.</p>
<p>if you have a metallic breech, FC grease(tetra, krytox, etc.) is a MUST for long term reliability.</p>

<p>problem is that you may have a hard time getting the valve out of the adapter.</p>
<p>is your concern about the hpa paintball tank i mentioned about ergonomics?</p>

<p>i suppose you could either get the etac-reg made for co2, or buy a regged hpa paintball tank for about 60-70 at a big name store, they can do 4500 psi typically.</p>
<p>besides just gettin a regular hpa tank for the talon/ss, me thinks thatd be the cheapest way.</p>

<p>right now its 98 degrees here and my condor is spitting 7 RING SLUGS out the spout of a VEERRRY tight BSA barrel hard enough to blow a fistful of plaster out and flatten in front to about 1/2 inch.</p>
<p>i gutted some #3 shotshells and am doing some EPIC plinking&#8230;</p>
<p>and thats the co2, no air.</p>

<p>shoot a group at short, then long, with no horizontal adjustment.</p>
<p>lets say your groups are are further to the 9 o clock position at long, turn the barrel in its bushings 90 degrees clockwise. remount and do again.</p>
