<p>the Myra extruded round did work in increasing velocity. WW2 German anti tank guns did work, they increased the velocity of the round. Google Myra extruded or squeezebore guns. I am simply asking if the same principle could work in a pcp. <p>I too bought some from airguns of arizona, but picked the 17.5 Gr pellets.<br />
For one they shoot faster than an equivalent lead pellet, and they do group amazingly !Fist time i tried them at about 25Metres i was getting one hole groups of 5 shots. <p>In fact i have recovered some shot ones that havent deformed at all and could be re fired again !</p>

It was ok, but not finished off very well, no where near a polished finish. And the oring inside the vlave body are just plain old crap ! I ended up stuffing the valve stem. Do you unscrew the tophat backwards and then slide it off the vlave stem?</p>

The tank doesnt loose pressure overnight or anything like that, juts feel an air blast when firing. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I thought that too, so i put in fresh lubes orings 90 durometer and greased up barrel and tophat.</p>
<p>But now i think i have a leaking valve as a few guys have mentioned allready. The air blast was from the shroud. But lighting a flame near the tophat and dry firing nd the flame gets blown out. I would assume that means its the valve stem that is leaking??</p>

<p>Looks like my ascertion the breech was leaking was wrong. So if the tophat valve stem is leaking, how can i fix that?? Any help guys? <p>Does anyone else have this issue? I thought it may have been the back blast from the shroud as i have vented the front bushing. But pulling off the Shroud didnt stop the air blast.</p>

And i am pretty sure it is not leaking from the vavle as i cannot feel any pulse of air from the back of the breech, where it connects to the tophat. The blast i feel comes predominantly from the power wheel adjustment hole and the top of the frame where the hammer slides. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>That twist rate Martin is for an 80Gr .224 bullet. These are an exeptionally long bullet and would be of no practical use at 800 FPS. Idealy we are wanting a high bc BULLET OF 30 TO 40 gr Max. </p>

A 1-9 twist is suiatble for the 60 to 80 Gr bullets shot out of a .223, but thats at velocities of 3000FPS and above, a bullet of that weight wont stabalize in standard  1-12 twist .223 barrels at 3000 FPS. <p>I have read on the forum here that there are FMG air bullets from South Africa, they have a high BC compared to a pellet.
