It’s possible that the small molding dimples inside of the magazine are catching the tip of the pellets.
There is a dimple three or four pellets down.
I’m going to try smoothing these out and see if it helps.

Looks like the digital reads 226 and the Vulcan is 222. Pretty close for such a small gauge.
