Hey Tony,

I have tried my airforce and Benjamin pump and neither will work on the condor ss but both work on the marauder. It will seem like its gaining pressure and needle on gauge rises just to crash back to zero on the gauge. I know tank has pressure as I can shoot repetitive shots accurately with power.

Thanks, Dan

I realize that this does not have the traffic of a Winchester forum but I expected that someone had info regarding my questions…I have been trying to find out answers to these well described questions for approaching a year.

That sounds like good advice. I’ve only shot two rounds of 10 since I got it and I’m hooked.I know my wife is going to love my new shoulders from the pump.
Staying in .25 sounds smart. I have 1200+ rds in .25 so I need to shoot them anyway. Ok so here’s what it sounds like I will need for black mambas in my 24″ x.25 barrel;

if it is your intention to set this Condor SS up for hunting critters larger than groundhogs and such, I would advise getting the TT tophat and the Mambas as suggested above. I would also install the 24″ .25 barrel as the longer barrel will give you more FPE. It is also the recommended barrel length for the Mambas so the air has time to get those…Read more

It is just a stock condor ss with stock tophat.I’ll contact Tony for the slugs and top hat. I’m sure I’ll play around a bit with lighter grain pellets and different settings here at home but if I need it for larger game(bug out situation) that sounds like the way to go. Thanks for the continued advice and help Wildfire.

Well things have changed from my last reply. I got the Marauder in .25 from pyramid and it was broken. I opened it up Christmas morning (early). I carefully took it out of the box and immediately heard something hit my laminate floor. It was a set screw. I knew that the trigger had a set screw for adjustment so I looked…and that’s where it came…Read more

Thanks for the info. and trying to help with the link. I decided if I was going to spend 1K that I would want more than just 1 air rifle.I decided on the wood Gen 2 marauder package in .25 with the scope, rings, pellets, sling, pump, mag… and a benjamin XL 1100 in .22.

The marauder will be for hunting medium and medium large game. The XL1100…Read more

quote Wildfire:Good morning Dan;
I think you would be very happy with a Condor. 1050-1100fps is not a problem, depending on projectile weight.
There is a misunderstanding among people who are new to air guns, faster is better! This is not always true. There are magnum break barrels in .177 that will shoot 1400fps with alloy pellets but you…Read more

quote Wildfire:I think you’re correct Gene about the center fire thing. Last I heard, N.C.was not legal to hunt big game with an air gun. Of course when the shit is hitting the fan, all laws will probably not matter anyway!

Thanks for the advice.I checked NC air gun laws and found some info.It seems that a rifle cal .22 or greater in a 16″ minimum length is legal.I’ll check into it further.
Any other suggestions for what would fit my needs as described above would be appreciated.
